如果要让Humbel 传动技术公司总经理Alex Humbel 概括公司的专业知识和销售核心内容，那么他无需过多考虑：“‘精密’是对于我们来说起到决定性作用的重点。我们的瑞士总部工厂生产的都是精密的齿轮和 变速箱部件，这些产品必须满足最高的质量要求。”只要看一看公司的客户来自哪些领域，我们就不难发现，它们的确做到了这一点：Humbel 生产的齿轮不仅应用于一级方程式锦标赛F1和电动方程式锦标赛FE中，还在航空航天业、各种机械制造领域以及作为原型样件在新型电动汽车上都得到广泛应用。这些领域都要求部件具有完美的表面质量和最高的稳定性——而且同时只需要小批量生产，200 件是该公司瑞士工厂的批次数量上限。同时，该公司本质上以高水准的纵向集成而与众不同，包括车削、滚齿和磨削到立方加工、电火花加工、一直到淬火的所有相关工艺。“我们已发展成为一家高度专业化的全方位服务供应商，除了按照客户和应用任务的要求提供定制产品以外，我们还提供齿轮开发业务。”Alex Humbel 如此总结这家1928 年作为“齿轮工厂”创立的家族企业的发展过程。
目前，这家专业制造商投资购买了多台埃马克机床：其中的三台在罗马尼亚和捷克的子公司使用。第四台则在距离瑞士圣加仑约20 公里的瑞士总部Kradolf 工厂运行。 这个VL 4 自动化上、下料车削中心，可能让行业专家感到惊讶。因为这款机床主要用于进行较大批量的加工。而Humbel使用VL 4 只是对直径50 到200 个法兰件进行软加工。在更换下一个工件之前。为什么Humbel 公司决定使用这款机床呢？“我们很长时间以来一直在关注埃马克技术。”总经理说。“最重要的是，集成上、下自动化系统使我们做出了这个决定。即使加工少量工件，也可以提高生产效率。对机床进行调整后，整个加工过程的人力需要大大减少，同时还可确保加工过程运行可靠。而且，埃马克的工件输送系统解决方案结构非常简单。在我们看来，很多其他供应商的替代自动化概念都比埃马克的解决方案更复杂，更容易发生故障。”
